We are continually at work on two documents that highlight the past 90+ years of board operations. The Accountancy Board of Ohio in its early years, like most state boards of accountancy, spent many meetings reviewing the qualifications of candidates for the CPA examination and the CPA certificate. We do not intend to include these meetings in the board's history unless some other issues of historical import were discussed. Beginning in 1977, the board devoted a much greater percentage of its time to discussion of issues, as the board staff took over the primary duty of evaluating CPA certificate qualifications. If you have historical items, anecdotes, or personal recollections you wish to send us that would serve as background material for the official recorded minutes, please let us know. We would appreciate any suggestions.
