EDUCATION
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Board sponsors an
Education Assistance Program to assist minority and financially
disadvantaged students who wish to pursue the fifth year of education
now required for CPA certification. Scholarship commitments may
be awarded to any sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in an
accounting program. The amount awarded is based upon the formulas
found in the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have received
a scholarship commitment from the Board, please keep in touch
and update your address if you move.
NOTE: There are still available scholarships for the 2007-2008 academic year. Students who qualify are encouraged to apply.
Please consult the Scholarship
Links at the left for more information concerning
the Board's education assistance program.
All candidates for the CPA certificate who have passed the
CPA exam but do not have the CPA certificate
should select the section CPA
Certificate Requirements.
For information on obtaining a license to practice and
other licensing requirements after you receive the CPA
certificate, please refer to the section entitled CPA
License Requirements.
If you wish to find out about requirements in other states,
please consult our list of Other
Accountancy Boards.
